On 10 February 2025, the Association held its Chinese New Year celebration at Jia He Chinese Restaurant. The luncheon was attended by 64 guests, including SBMSA’s Advisor, MP Ang Wei Neng. During the event, three lucky draw prizes were given to attendees, and certificates along with association pins were presented to five new members.
From 17-18 Oct 2024, Vice President Ng Swan Meen and Asst. Hon Secretary Kris Yue Ling attended China (Guangdong Yunfu) 2024 RCEP Industrial Cooperation Conference, co-organized by China-ASEAN Business Council, RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee and Yunfu Municipal People’s Government of Guangdong Province, China. Vice President Ng was also invited to give a speech on construction industry and business opportunities in Singapore.
On 7 June 2024, President Ng Soy Ng, VP George Tan, VP Collin Lim, and Mr. Alfred Siow participated in the SCCCI Golf Tournament at Orchid Country Club. The Guest of Honor for the event was Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Sustainability & the Environment and Ministry of Manpower.
RCEP （区域全面经济伙伴关系协定）
产业合作委员会与中国广东省云浮市人民政府共同主办的“中国（广东云浮）RCEP产业合作大会”于今年11月8日在云浮市召开。
RCEP, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, is a free trade zone jointly established by 10 ASEAN countries and five other nations, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, in 2020. The RCEP Industrial Cooperation Committee was formed in 2021, and SBMSA is honored to have been invited as one of its members.
The conference, attended by as many as 300 political leaders and representatives of private chambers of commerce, aimed to promote industrial collaboration in the RCEP region and facilitate trade and investment cooperation among enterprises.
出席此次大会的各国政界领导及民间商会代表多达300人，会议旨在推进RCEP区域内的产业对接,助力企业贸易投资合作。
RCEP产业合作委员会也在大会召开前举行成立后第四次会议，各国代表委员就国内经济现状以及区域合作课题进行论述和交流。
除了正式会议，主办单位还安排我们参观云浮（新兴）首届金属制造产业及不锈钢餐厨具博览会,考察当地的温氏食品集团,禅文化创意产业园，并且在住宿，出行餐饮方方面面全程热诚细心接待。
我们也利用空档时间，考察和参观云服务的石材企业，拜会云浮石材行业协会，见证了这个拥有400多年历史，6千多家大小石材企业，被冠予“中国石都”美誉的云浮。 当天，云浮当局为我们准备一个座谈会，召集了石材协会属下近20名领先企业负责人，介绍云浮石材业现状，表达云浮和新加坡今后在石材采购以及各种项目的合作意愿。 附：11月9日云浮座谈会出席名单供参考。有兴趣的可以联系本会秘书，索取联系资 料。
